I have been watching a great documentary. A science and nature series season 1 2026 “Leaf of Life”. This shows how we can change the world by caring for the planet and all inhabitants. Preserving and restoring nature.

It talks about saving the planet specifically addressing water depletion around the globe. It showed deserts that have been turned around to sustain life; trees, shrubs and ground covers, then birds and animals add to the biodiversity. Working with nature is again the answer.

Sometimes the solutions go back thousands of years. Worldwide there is a growing problem because we are diminishing the aquifers. Water loss creates arid desert conditions sometimes created by over grazing and large agriculture farms. We can reverse this by hectors using water retention through check dams similar to what beavers do for our environment. Other technology be used today are, Water generating machines. Bios wale; utilizes the power of plants to capture and preserve water. Fog nets; are also being used to capture water in foggy environments. The Demi Lunes an ancient technique re worked for modern day conservation and reclamation.

Grazing issues and current agricultural practices, are changing to make a better profit planting a diverse crop instead of only one. Grazing animals moved on occasion to protect vegetation from disappearing.
